Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Adnan Younus is a General Adult Psychiatrist with MBBS and FRANZCP (Fellowship of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists).

His areas of interests are primarily in Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, OCD, Adult ADHD, Complex Trauma Disorder, Personality Disorder, First Episode Psychosis & early intervention in psychotic and non-psychotic disorder & Youth Mental Health.

Dr Younus was a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney, completed a polypharmacy clinical audit at the Cumberland Hospital. He was also a VMO psychiatrist at Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

He is a staff specialist at the Nepean Hospital where he runs a metabolic clinic for Child and Youth Mental Health Services in Penrith.

Dr Younus has been actively involved in mental health training and research as well as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He is an accredited supervisor with RANZCP for training registrars.

Dr Younus also provides psychotherapy and has training in Open Dialogue.
